Who I am:

I have lived and worked on Romney Marsh for over 15 years, running a small independent business. As a respected motor trader and former member of Brenzett Parish Council, I understand the struggles of small businesses and the frustration of local councils that lack real power. My campaign is about giving a stronger voice to the people of West Hythe and Romney Marsh—because real change starts with us.

What I Stand For:

Protecting Our Farmland – No to Large-Scale Solar Farms

Our Grade 1 agricultural land is under threat. The Labour and Green parties want to cover productive farmland with vast solar farms. I believe this is the wrong approach. We need to protect our countryside and ensure our land continues to be used for food production, supporting our farmers and local economy.

Energy Security – Yes to Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) at Dungeness

Instead of sacrificing farmland for solar panels, I support the development of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) at Dungeness. This would provide reliable, low-carbon energy while creating skilled jobs for local people. Dungeness has a long history of supporting the UK’s energy needs—let’s make sure it remains a vital part of our future.

Backing Small Businesses & the Local Economy

As a small business owner, I understand the daily challenges faced by entrepreneurs. I will work to cut unnecessary red tape, improve local support for businesses, and push for better infrastructure to help our economy thrive.

Investing in Local Amenities & Infrastructure

West Hythe and Romney Marsh deserve better. I will campaign for:

  • More funding for local services, including healthcare and education.

  • Improved road maintenance and public transport.

  • Enhanced community facilities, ensuring residents have access to the resources they need.

Stronger Local Representation

I know from my time on Brenzett Parish Council that local government too often lacks the power to make meaningful changes. I will fight to ensure that our communities have a stronger voice in decision-making and are not overlooked by higher authorities.

My Commitment to You:

I am not a career politician—I am a local businessman who understands the needs of this community. I will fight for the people of West Hythe and Romney Marsh, ensuring our voices are heard, our countryside is protected, and our local economy is supported.

Let’s stand together for a better future.
